“Jade Dance”–Sunday

This Sunday, February 5, my Jade Dance for piano solowill be perfotmed by the incomparable Max Kifchitz at the National Opera Center, 330 7th av, Manhattan, NYC.

One of my earliest works, Jade Dance was inspired by my study of George Ahthiel’s“Ballet Mechanique” which I studied in graduate school and then  edited and engraved for a publisher, garnering industry awards for the work. It’s a wild, raucous ride with elements of “jazz stride piano”, minimalism, and story-telling of a  machine that comes to life, goes berserk, breaks down, but comes back to life. It’s a fun, silly, piece that will be recorded and released later this year l hope you can join me for this wonderful performer romance.
