Juvenalia

Recently, as as I was going through some old files in preparation to move later this year (more on that soon in another post), I came across a hand-written score. This score was the first work I ever composed, age 18. It’s for clarinet and piano. It’s clearly a beginner’s piece, but shows promise! It’s tonal, although shortly, with the tutelage of my new proffesor, Eric Lund, I began exploring atonality, experimental, and electronic music composition.

I thought I might share it here, purely as an example of my not-too-shabby beginnings! Below is a video-score of my first work, “Rhapsody”.
